Diamond Aircraft Industries has created a strong and modern state-of-the-art survey configuration – the DA62-MPP SurveyStar. The extraordinary low noise signature of the aircraft, supported by the on-top exhaust systems, in combination with the low fuel burn fits perfectly to the idea to operate silently and environmentally friendly. With twin engine reliability and a robust single engine service ceiling, safe operations are the norm. Using just 7.6 gph (total) of Jet-A at 40% power, the SurveyStar will pay for itself many times over as you economically operate your survey missions
Survey Hatch Concept
Providing a clean and aerodynamic shape, the ability to integrate survey cameras as well as a stabilization mount in the cabin by replacing the right-hand operator seat. The easy access to the equipment area allows for easy installation of additional mission equipment and LRU’s. A dedicated alternator and mission bus provides 28V/100A service, providing robust power for your requirements.
After a year of development effort, Diamond received two EASA/FAA STC’s for the fuselage center section as well as the single seat configuration modification. As a result, mission equipment installation is a simple logbook entry, no special FAA approvals required.
Typical Survey Multi-Mission Solution
The flexible equipment mounting solutions provide the ability to easily mount a mission suite of equipment. The MP-Nose can mount EO/IR sensors or LIDAR systems.
